Hi everyone

Well, the boxes are slowly being unpacked and chaos is giving way to a sense of order. My new studio is slowly being put together and I'm so excited to be able to get back up to full production again after what seems like an eternity.

I have managed to squeeze my way through the boxes enough to get some new colourways dyed up for the Spring season. These have very much been influenced by the rediscovery of my watercolour paintings. I have been thoroughly enjoying messing about with washes and swirls of colour. I've had some happy accidents along the way too and discovered some lovely colour combinations which I will develop more fully.

I hope you enjoy my new collection and once again, that you for your patience during my house move and new studio build. Hoping to be back up to full dyeing strength very soon!

Best wishes

Helen

Hello Everyone

It's been quite some time since I wrote a blog update. A lot has happened!!

Moving house has been quite an ordeal and I think I badly underestimated the amount of time and effort it required. I think i thought the little fairies would come and do all the hard work and then it would be instantly be sorted out in the new home. How wrong was I!!!

Then of course, Christmas came and so everything else took a back seat.

So now it's the New Year and I'm able to find the boxes with all my dye equipment in and start to get back into the swing of dyeing up some yarns. I've really missed the creative process and then being able to see the end results of my hard work in knitted form. I found myself dreaming about colourways and ideas have been coming to me all the time. I always note down my thoughts and inspirations when they come to me and I can't wait to get some of them translated into yarn.

I'm hoping to be able to get some new yarns in my Etsy shop very soon and, it's also my hope to be updating and revamping my website soon as well. I have lots of hopes and dreams for Yan-Tan-Tethera Yarns in 2016 and hope that you'll be as excited as I am about them.

I am on Instagram and regularly post what I'm up to, so it's a great way to keep informed.

A very Happy 2016 to you all and thank you for being so patient in this house moving transition!

Best wishes

Helen

One of the things that I love and look forward to the most each year, is our visit to Cornwall. I especially love the North coast area around Polzeath and I'm known on occasion to enjoy boogie boarding - in a wet suit of course!

I love the colours of Cornwall and have been meaning to translate these colours into yarn colourways for some time now. All those wonderful blues of sea and sky, sandy creams, the natural rose quartz pebbles and pinky greys of the cliffs. Well, I've finally got round to it and have produced a selection of yarns which, to me, capture the Cornish landscape.

I have put these yarns in my Etsy shop.

I hope that you love the Cornish Collection as much as I do and, if you do, I may do some more!
